NOMINATE YOUR PARTNER IN EDUCATION

The Partners in Education Program is a joint effort of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce and the Fayette County Board of Education.

The purpose of the Partners in Education program is to provide an avenue for businesses to form partnerships with public schools and educational programs in Fayette County. The ultimate goal is to help prepare the workforce of tomorrow by providing enhanced educational opportunities for our students.

Partnerships can take many forms, and range from monetary contributions and donations-in-kind, to sponsorships and mentoring or tutoring students. All activities of a business and school partnership should meet educationally sound goals that are jointly developed by both partners.

Ways to become involved in the Partners in Education program:

  • BECOME A PARTNER IN EDUCATION
    • 7 Simple Steps – As easy as PIE A quick overview of how to become a Partner in Ed.  Includes frequently asked questions.
    • Partners in Education Handbook provides specific guidelines on how both the schools and the community partners can build lasting relationships to enrich and extend the education opportunities for Fayette County students.
    • Partnership Commitment Form All organizations must complete this form to become a Partner in Education.  Current Partners must also submit a New Partnership Commitment form to update current active status.

  • BE PART OF THE PARTNERS IN EDUCATION STEERING COMMITTEE
    • The Partners in Education Steering Committee is comprised of individuals representing businesses, community organizations and the Fayette County Board of Education. The group typically meets once a month at the chamber offices in the Old Courthouse in downtown Fayetteville. To join the steering committee, or for more information on the next meeting date, contact the chamber office at 770-461-9983.
    • Volunteering as a part of the Partners in Education Steering Committee is a unique way for Chamber members to make a difference in our community. Committee members help guide and oversee the Partners in Education program, helping insure the program achieves its mission.
