- Ambassadors
The Ambassadors are a group of engaged chamber members who are the backbone of our volunteers. With their support, they welcome attendees at Chamber events and are willing to mentor new members by as they become acquainted with all the Chamber opportunities. They convey friendly, helpful attitudes and a genuine interest in helping keep our business community strong and growing. The Ambassadors Committee is open by invitation. This committee welcomes creative people who love to brainstorm about new exciting ideas for the Expo. It takes lots of planning to make the largest tradeshow in the county happen…so if event planning is your thing, jump onboard the Expo train! Community Expo - Partners in Education
Chamber members who have a passion for education lead the Partners in Education steering committee. Developing ways to support the Fayette County School system by being the conduit between the schools and the business community. More on the Partners in Education program - Government Affairs
The Government Affairs Committee keep the business community informed and up-to-date on topics related to governmental and regulatory affairs. They research issues that could have broad community impact and recommend positions to the Chamber’s Board of Directors for review and, if appropriate, action. The committee plans legislative update events and hosts several annual events including the Dome Roam to the Georgia State Capitol, and a Washington Fly-In to the U.S. Capitol. Participation in the Government Affairs Committee is open to interested chamber members. - Event day Volunteers
The Chamber offers members the opportunity to be part of the event by signing up as a volunteer for the day or just a couple of hours. Volunteers are assigned specific tasks in support of the logistics of the event and work together as part of a team system that brings successful programs and events to Chamber members and the community.
