Make Connections
Credibility
Being part of the chamber is good for the community, but it’s also a good business strategy. A recent national study by the Schapiro Group showed that consumers are 63% more likely to support a small business if they know the business is a chamber member.
The same study showed that being a chamber member communicates to consumers that a business uses good business practices, that it cares about its customers, is reputable and is involved in the community. Particularly these days, it’s hard to overstate the importance of credibility.
Connect with Key Decision Makers
The chamber is comprised of a broad cross-section of businesses working together to strengthen our local economy and our community. Business owners who recognize the importance of being active in the chamber are leaders who understand that working together is a great way to get things done.

Not only have the Strategic Business Group leaders met other business owners and shared their business expertise, but through giving back they have built goodwill in the business community.
Whether your interest is in public policy and government affairs, or your goal is to connect with other local business leaders, the chamber offers a variety of events and programs throughout the year designed to help you connect. We encourage you to visit the chamber online event calendar and to read our weekly Happenings e-zine to learn more about upcoming opportunities.
