Referrals

The chamber office welcomes visitors and callers who often request referrals on specific types of businesses.  Based on the business category, chamber staff will refer the caller to a list of the member businesses in that category.

Our online Member Directory is an actively used source of web referrals.  Members can track how often their listing is visited. Enhanced online directory listings which include photos, additional keywords and added space for the business description are available for a nominal fee.

Chamber Printed Member Directory is a wonderful source of referrals.  It is acknowledged that “chamber members do business with chamber members first” and the directory is the first stop for many fellow members looking for a new supplier.

Another valuable source of referrals results as members develop business relationships with other members while serving on committees or attending various programs and events.

Publicity and Advertising opportunities

Members can display tri-fold brochures in the Chamber lobby.  The lobby serves as a community visitor center, welcoming newcomers and the public who are seeking a variety of information.

Ribbon cuttings are available with most membership levels for new businesses or businesses in a new location. For more established retail businesses, we offer a Find it in Fayette!® Spotlight to showcase your location.  And other types of established businesses can access the Chamber’s Business Spotlight package for additional publicity.

Awards & Recognition

Each year the chamber recognizes individuals and organizations for their outstanding efforts within the chamber and in the community.  Members have the opportunity to nominate other members, or their own organization for such prestigious awards as the Small Business of the Year Award, Outstanding Business Person of the Year Award, and Outstanding Partner in Education Award.   Through the nomination and awards process, nominees as well as the winners receive recognition and publicity associated with the event.
