Kick-Off Luncheon…and we’re off!

Wednesday, August 17th, 2011

The Kick-off Luncheon for the Chamber Challenge 100 was held at Whitewater Country Club to officially start the chamber’s 2011 Total Resource Campaign.  Campaign Chair Mark Gray, State Farm Insurance started off the fun with a grand entrance in full racing gear.  Ted Austad from the Atlanta Motor Speedway was the special guest as team captains and their respective team members gathered to stir up some friendly competition.  Teams will be competing to bring in chamber memberships, sponsorships and advertising.  This campaign is an important fund raiser for the chamber as we work to help Fayette businesses and our community.  Many thanks to our Platinum Sponsor Coweta-Fayette EMC and the many volunteers who will take the chamber message out into the community.  Also thanks to our Print Sponsor Minuteman Press of Peachtree City.

Chamber Challenge 100

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011

It’s a race to the finish!  The Chamber Challenge 100 is a great team building, networking and visibility opportunity.  Your volunteer effort will help the chamber grow its membership while getting good exposure for your volunteer support.

The goal of the campaign is to reach $100,000 by generating new memberships, sponsorships, advertising membership upgrades and budget reduction in-kind trades.  With 16 teams participating, each team goal will be at least $6,250.

For 10 weeks, each team will encourage the local business community to be part of the chamber.  No cold calling!  The prospects you reach out to are organizations you already know.

All teams will be in view in the standings as they race to reach the team goal.  Every other week during the campaign, team members will re-group at the meeting/reward sessions to celebrate accomplishments with incentive prizes and giveaways.

Here’s the commitment timeline:

Training Session (required) – 8/4 or 8/9
Kick-off Luncheon (required) – 8/17
Alternating Meeting/Reward Sessions (flexible) – 9/1, 9/15, 9/29, 10/13, 10/27
Contacting Prospects (flexible – at time between 8/17 – 10/31)
Victory Celebration (required) – 11/3

We hope you can join in the fun for the Chamber Challenge!  It’s a great opportunity to become engaged and make connections within the chamber and in the community.  For more details or to register, contact Joyce Gaglione at Joyce@FayetteChamber.org or 770.461.9983

Chamber Launches TRC 2011

Monday, July 25th, 2011

TRC:  The Chamber Challenge 100…Race to Grow!

What is the TRC?  The chamber is gearing up to launch its 2011 Total Resource Campaign (TRC) to help provide financial resources to equip us for the future.  The Fayette Chamber is a network of businesses and organizations all working together for a common goal – to strengthen our community and promote economic prosperity.  Through a variety of programs, events and services, the chamber makes important connections between business and community that provide the framework for Fayette to grow and prosper. Through the TRC, we will promote chamber membership, generate program and event sponsorships, offer advertising opportunities through the chamber, and raise community awareness of the role of the chamber in sustaining a healthy community.

It’s an ambitious campaign…our goal is to raise $100,000.  We can do it if we work together!  Here’s how you can help…

  • Sponsor a team of 3-5 people representing your company OR
  • Allow a few of your employees to join another chamber team in support of the campaign

There will be some fun, lively competition as we race toward the finish line.  Each team will select a race car and team theme.  The designated driver (team captain) will lead his/her team to the finish line on October 31.  A victory lap celebration will take place on November 3rd.  This is a great team building opportunity and you’ll gain valuable exposure for your business by taking part in the campaign.  There will be many rewards along the way!

This campaign is vital to support the chamber’s efforts to help local businesses, so please join us.  Contact us today to get involved!    770.461.9983 or Info@FayetteChamber.org
